Intro
================================================================
The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion was a very good game that could occupy hours of time. From running around the countryside trying to find ingredients to alchemy to clearing out a Vampire's lair, it was good to play just about anything.
Graphics 9|10
================================================================
This game had marvelous graphics. Despite being released shortly after the 360 itself came out, it has some of the best graphics out of all 360 games. It has beautiful sunsets, beautiful mountains, well designed cities, basically a whole world designed extremely well. In addition, the character models were good, and all the interactable objects were awesome.
Sound 9|10
================================================================
This game had an awesome sound track that had many good songs that all fit the atmosphere's they were in. They helped to make the game contain such a quality experience. Also, there were other ambient and player induced sounds that were well recorded and helped very much with the game.
Controls 9|10
================================================================
This game had excellent controls that did not impede in the experience of the game at all. The player had a choice to play in either third or first person view (I usually played in first, except when sneaking to see around walls), and intuitive controls. Moving around was easy enough, and attacking was logical, the only problems I found were that there were just a few places that it was possible to get into but not out of, but when designing such a huge game, several of those is to be expected.
Story 10|10
================================================================
The story in Oblivion was very entertaining and well written. You start out in a dungeon cell when all of a sudden Emperor Septim comes down with an entourage of guards and opens a secret pathway through your cell. As you follow him you eventually get ambushed and the Emperor dies, and from then on it's your task to stop the plans of his killers. The game also has a multitude of side quests, and you can rise to the top of the warrior, thief, magic, and assassin guilds, or fight to be the best in the coliseum style fights, or just help out the people around the places you travel.
Fun 9|10
================================================================
This game is a very fun game, for a very long time. I currently have around 170 hours or so, and I still haven't completed all the quests. The game is so massive, that just to move around and view the areas takes a long time (although they now have fast travel, so no more days to get across the map). Overall this is fun to play for a long time.
Replay 9|10
================================================================
This game is replayable in the sense that it's fun to pick up again and continue going through the quests and maxing out your character, but I find the act of starting a new character to restart the game very daunting considering the total amount of time I spent on it. So while one character is very replayable, the act of getting another one started takes a little bit of work.
